Chief Compliance Officer
Valli F. Baldassano, Esq., is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and auditing of all corporate compliance programs at the company, as well as for chairing the corporation’s Corporate Compliance Committee. She is also responsible for overseeing the Worldwide Quality Assurance team. Prior to joining Cephalon in 2007, she was a Partner with Fox Rothschild LLP in Philadelphia, where she was a member of the Litigation Department and the founding member of the White Collar Compliance and Defense Practice Group.
Her corporate law experience includes nine years in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as Vice President, Global Compliance at Schering-Plough. Earlier in her career, Ms. Baldassano spent four years at the former Pharmacia (now Pfizer), where she was Senior Director, Global Compliance and Associate General Counsel. Prior to her work in the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Baldassano served for eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Baldassano graduated from Georgetown University and earned a law degree from Syracuse University (magna cum laude). She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Board of Trustees of the Walnut Street Theatre, and the Board of Directors of the French American Chamber of Commerce.
