The Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry recognized Frank Baldino, Jr., PhD for his contributions and service to the Chester County and Greater Philadelphia communities, and for his leadership in the pharmaceutical industry and to the company he founded 22 years ago. He was named 2009 CEO of the Year by the organization.

For the second consecutive year, Cephalon was named one of America’s best adoption-friendly workplaces by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The list, determined by an analysis of adoption benefits available to employees, ranked Cephalon #2 among pharmaceutical companies and #36 of the top 100 companies.

For the second time, Cephalon was named to the Forbes listing of the Best Big Companies in America, based on factors that included sales and earnings growth, debt to total capital ratio, earnings outlook and stock market returns. Cephalon was one of just 14 companies in the Drugs and Biotechnology sector included in the 2008 listing.
